Hey friends, welcome back to my blog. As you can already tell, if you are a regular here, I made some changes to my blog. I bought my own domain and I am self-hosting this website. This is something I have been wanting to do for a long time but I have procrastinated a little bit (Okay, maybe a lot). In this post, I want to talk about a few things;

  • The decision to go self- hosting
  • What direction you should expect this blog to take.

I decided to self-host this blog because I wanted more control over the site and to be able to monetize, in the long run. Secondly, it is my desire to actively invest more resources into this, in order to push myself to be as efficient as I can in delivering value to you, my dear reader. I put a lot of thought and deliberation into this and I am content with the decision that I made. Self-hosting wasn’t as hard as I thought it will be, it was actually a simple process even though I had to learn a bit of HTML to get a firm hand on it. I am open to share the resources that I used to aid this process. I must add that it did help to have a software engineer as my brother.

Concerning the direction of this blog, I am really here to serve you. When I first started blogging, it was about finding a creative outlet and just really exploring what could be. That initial phase was very essential in bringing me to this point, this point of intentionality about being a source of inspiration. In a wonderful way, we are in a symbiotic relationship. Serving you is really pushing me to work on being the most authentic version of myself. I hope that it will also push you to be the best version of yourself.

You might be thinking, I hear you but what should I expect? Here is my answer, I will give you three words; inspiring, relatable and truthful. If there is anything I post that doesn’t full into any of the categories, you have to hold me accountable.

At the end of this post, one thing I want to leave with you is that your own stories are unique, your voice matters and your experiences are valid. I am excited to be on this journey with you.

P.s: Don’t forget to subscribe to my blog so that you can receive all the juicy updates and exclusive content!

-Love, Adeoluwa
